Marie-Pier, originally from Montreal, Quebec, got her start in the industry as a host in a breakfast restaurant at 12 years old.
Since then, she's thoroughly travelled Canada - from coast to coast - as well as extensively through Italy, France, Spain, and Mexico, to eat good food and sip good wine.
Marie-Pier developed her passion for fine wine while working for the Fairmont, Montreux Palace, in Switzerland. Since then, her excitement for all things wine has followed her through some of the country's best restaurants and wineries - embracing positions such as Cellar-Hand at Pearl Morissette in Jordan, ON, a member of the opening team at Pastel in Montreal, and - most recently - as the Head Sommelier at The Inn at Bay Fortune on PEI.
She currently spends her free-time designing and facilitating elaborate wine training's for multiple PEI restaurants, and pouring unique and delicious wines for guests of the zero-waste dinner series - ‘’an island collective’’ - alongside her partner, Chef Nick Chindamo.
Marie-Pier's main focus is to broaden the tastes of Islanders, and open bottles of wine with the goal of showcasing the diversity, style, and flavour that exists within it.
